Heavy Bushfire Tanker
The Rural Fire Service located in the ACT has taken into thier fleet the latest in Heavy Bushfire Tanker technology, based on a Hino GT1322 Crew Cab. With a Hatz 3L41C Silent pack diesel engine driving a Darley HE 350 pump, two electric rewind hose reels with 30 metres of hose each, two crew deck hand lines and a grassland spray bar. The crew is protected by in cab fire curtains as well as a crew deck haven made from aluminised OKA-507 material.
A cabin deluge system sprays water over all the external glass areas and fine water sprays cover all the wheels.
This Heavy Bushfire Tanker has been commissioned by the Rural Fire Service in the ACT. 3,000 litres of water is fed through 2 x 30metre electric rewind hose reels and 2 x crew deck hand lines by a Hatz diesel pump motor driving a Darley HE 350 pump. In cab fire blinds and a crew deck haven together with a cabin deluge system help keep the crew safe in emergency situations. This Moore Engineering built fire truck is a class leading example of workmanship and inginuity.
