Bulk Water Tanker

12,500 litres in a fibreglass tank mounted to allow 10 degrees of torsional twist. This rugged design is rapidly being accepted as the bench mark in Tanker design. 7,500 litre dam is located in an easily deployed drawer on the drivers side or this can be replaced by another locker housing a fridge which slides out and tips down for easy access. The Passengers side locker houses all of the hoses and couplings whilst the drop down sides allow the suction hoses and miscellaneous tools to be rapidly deployed. Aluminised fire curtains are fitted to the cabin for operator safety and the six speed automatic gear box reduces driver fatigue. A Darley HM500 PTO pump is mounted and controlled by a VDO pedal interface system.

Heavy Bushfire Tanker

This heavy Bushfire Tanker has been commissioned by the Rural Fire Service in the ACT. 3,600 lites of water is fed through 2 x 30metre electric rewind hose reels by a Hatz diesel pump motor driving a Darley HE 350 pump. In cab fire blinds and a crew deck haven together with a cabin deluge system help keep the crew safe in emergency situations. This Moore Engineering built fire truck is a class leading example of workmanship and inginuity.

ACT FIRE BRIGADE

The ACT Fire Brigade joined the Rural Fire Service and acquired 3 Hino trucks that Moore Engineering transformed into Heavy Tankers. 3,600 litres of water is delivered by a Darley HE500 pump coupled to a Hatz 4L41C motor. Two electric rewind hose reels and two crew deck hoses take care of the delivery points.  A tank flush point is located on the drivers side and the Hydrant fill point is located on the Passengers side. Undertray foam storage has increased the available locker space and Fire curtains are installed in the cabin as well as on the crew deck for operator safety.

09-10 ISUZU 34

This steel framed addition to the Moore Engineering built family of Fire Trucks gives the CFS a strong reliable work horse that will give years of service. Fitted with a revolutionary crew protection water spray system along with in cab breathing systems and fire curtains, this truck is at the forefront of crew safety. 3,000 litres of water, Quench Master foam system, Deutz engine and Gaam pump all combine to make a user friendly fire fighting appliance.

UNDERGROUND DUAL INTRUDER

The Underground Intruder is the latest in technology and has been purpose built for the mining industry but is capable of general fire fighting duties. 1,500 litres of water and over 40,000 litres of compressed air at 300bar. It runs a PTO pump and dual hose reels, one is equipped with a 1 litre IFEX hand gun whilst the other is a standard electric rewind unit.

This addition to the CFS fleet of Fire appliances is supplied by Moore Engineering. With 2 x 60 metre electric rewind hose reels and over 3,000 litres of water in a class leading fibreglass tank.

Quick Attack Vehicle

These appliances are based on the Toyota Land Cruiser chassis which gives them a tough work platform. The body build has followed this and has proven itself on some of the toughest fire grounds in Australia.

Isuzu CAFS unit

This Isuzu NPS300 has been fitted with a 1,100 litre water tank pumping through an Aussie Mustang compressed air foam unit. The Darley CAFS foam proportioner is fed by a Daihatsu deisel engine driving a Darley 1.5AGE pump. Locker space is provided for all the standard hand tools and hoses along with foam application equipment.

Moore Engineering recognised the requirements of the Emergency Service providers and responded to our customers needs by taking a proven vehicle and making it tougher. With a usable water capacity of 600 Litres delivered by a Darley AGE 1.5 pump this little unit has the ability to get in anywhere. The suspension upgrade gives the vehicle a GVM of 3,900kg, that means more equipment can be carried in the two large lockers. Safety is taken care of by in cab roll down fire curtains and a cabin deluge system that covers all glassed areas as well as the fire fighting pump.
